July/August Newsletter

For the word of the Lord holds true, and we can trust everything he does.

He loves whatever is just and good; the unfailing love of the Lord fills the earth. Psalms 33:4-5

Blessings and good day

There are moments when words tend to fall short when thanking the Lord for His goodness and grace is concerned that the only option is to lower your head in respect and admiration.  Our hearts rejoice as we see our Lord allowing us to share these updates.

BIBLE INSTITUTE - JULY

It was a delight to know that even though my mom could not join the team due to COVID, things worked out well. Cinthia managed the kitchen and was very skillful together with our sisters. Attendance was excellent, and the weather was beautiful.

We were able to finish on time, which allowed us to come home earlier than expected. The next Institute is to be held in October, and we hope to have our brother from the State join us.

MANCHUILA - AUGUST

God bless you, our brothers.

Today it is a blessing to write to all of you. Two weeks ago and last weekend, we made a trip to Manchuila to install 10 water filters for 10 families in this village. This village has around 25 to 30  houses. We have enough water filters for all the village. The hike is approximately 5 hours.

My wife went with me on the first trip; it was hard for her. On the first trip, we installed 2 water filters because people were learning how it works, which is always a slow process.  We travel with Bernabe and the disciple that he has in manchuila. Their names are:

Roberto, Ricardo, and Benicio, who are in the discipleship program too, it was a blessing to be with them and talk about the Bible.

On the second trip, I traveled alone hahaha my wife said the hike was too challenging for her. On this trip, we were able to install 8 water filters. We have services on the nights in bought trips, and in the second, one person says yes to Jesus.

Remember that Manchuila has 6 Christians in this village, the population is around 250 people, and all of them are Mamatata, which is why it is a big deal that one by one come to Jesus.  The purpose of this kind of project is to share the love of God with them and break the ice between the good news and them, to create relationships and trust.

Pray for Bernabe that God gives him strength and wisdom to guide them.

God bless you

Platanares Training - August 26-28:

Platanares is about 5 hours drive from David but only 1 hour from Santiago City.  This church is the only one in the area of around 150 homes.  They have opened two new places and have asked Pastor Heitor for this training.  27 participants stayed throughout the training.

After each session, there is the practical part that we all need to do.  The last session involved setting goals on sharing the Good News with one of the OIKOS lists. Therefore groups were formed, and out we went.  Our group visited Francisca and Dionisio’s home (picture above).  The group was able to put to work what they learned at the workshop.  Four homes were seen.

P. Simon Training - August:

Pastor Simon reports that 28 church leaders and members received the training for children evangelization from CEF (Child Evangelism Fellowship) APEN in Spanish.  You want to learn more about P. Simon visit
