Hello, our brother, it has been a while

It will be almost one month since we went to Darien to help the immigrants, and now we share how the trip was.

Every day 600 immigrants enter Panama through the border with Colombia in Darien. We went there with another ministry that focuses on assisting immigrants. The team was of 60 Panamanians, and the immigrants did not speak English or Spanish; some of them talked in French, but most of them talked their language. It was tough to try to communicate with them, but it was possible, and some of them received Jesus and others did not.

It was hard to hear the stories of the things they went through because of the dream of reaching the USA. Some of them carried in their body the signs of the suffering of their journey in the jungle.

The trip was of one day; our journey to Darien started at 2 am, and at 6 pm, our trip back to Panama City started. From our home in David to Panama City, there are 6 hours and 5 hours from Panama City to Darien, so it was hard to assimilate everything we saw and felt; that is why I wanted to wait a while to try to think more about it.

So we decided to be more involved with this ministry the name is FAM we are planning another trip, but this time it will be in our city. Our city is next to Costa Rica; here, there is another immigrant camp. Therefore, we will get involved because I cannot stop thinking about our trip to Darien. I want to understand more about how they think and their culture. We want to see what God wants in all this.
